This 17 km tour with 410 meters of elevation gain, on our e-bikes is a ride that doesn’t require any specific training or technical skills.
You’ll only be on dirt or paved roads, away from traffic and entirely surrounded by nature.
The departure from our location in Casona di Marano is convenient and it has a large safe parking area where you can leave your car.
After following the main road for about 1 km, turn left along the bridge that crosses the Panaro and continue on via Fondovalle Vecchia which gently runs alongside the river. The road here begins to climb, always gently and takes you to the ancient village of Pieve di Trebbio, where you can stop and admire the ancient Roman church.
Once you've set off again, the route continues along an easy-to-follow dirt road that leads you to the Sassi di Roccamalatina 8.5 km from the starting point. Here, if it is open, you can buy a ticket and climb (without a bike) an easy path to Sasso della Croce and eat something in the typical restaurants that you will find at the base of the Sassi.
The return is your route in reverse and you will arrive back in Casona after pedaling for about an 1 hour and 15 minutes.
